Janet Yellen indicates Fed could delay interest rate hikes
Federal Reserve Chairwoman Janet L. Yellen said Wednesday that risks are rising for the U.S. economy and indicated central bank policymakers could delay expected interest rate hikes if incoming data show problems increasing.
“Monetary policy is by no means on a preset course,” she said in her first public comments since mid-December, speaking at a much-anticipated House Financial Services Committee hearing.
