Before: 625 liquor stores in 1992.
After: 451 liquor stores in 2012.
Liquor store owners’ names were matched to a dictionary of Korean surnames. A small percentage of names that could also be Chinese were included except when obviously not Korean. Names that could be non-Asian, such as Lee, were included only with a Korean given name.
