Boosting a defense system
The Pentagon plans to add 14 interceptor missiles to 26 already at a missile defense site in Alaska. Another four are at Vandenberg Air Force Base in Lompoc. The program would use ground-based radar and interceptors to detect and destroy enemy warheads.
