Mapping the Hollywood fault

The California Geological Survey has released a draft map of the Hollywood fault and drew a zone around it. When the so-called Alquist-Priolo Earthquake Fault Zone map is finalized, any developer seeking to construct a new building in the zone will be required to conduct an intensive investigation to determine if a fault is underneath the property. State law bans building on top of faults in these mapped zones. Search the map by entering an address, including the city.
