Complaints left unaddressed for at least 90 days

L.A. Department of Building and Safety inspectors took longer to respond to code enforcement complaints in the eastern part of the city and parts of the Valley than in other parts of town, according to a Times analysis of city data spanning January 2011 to July 2014. Neighborhoods in these areas were more likely to see complaints languish for three months or more.

The map shows complaints that went more than 90 days without the city responding.
