Cannes Film Festival 2013

The 66th Cannes Film Festival kicks off Wednesday with a screening of “The Great Gatsby.” Steven Spielberg is this year’s jury president, and the jury includes actors Vidya Balan, Nicole Kidman, Daniel Auteuil and Christoph Waltz, and directors Ang Lee, Cristian Mungiu, Lynne Ramsay and Naomi Kawase. Here are a few of the films that will be presented at the festival, which concludes May 26.

'The Bling Ring'

In this drama based on real events, a group of fame-obsessed teens growing up in Southern California celebrity culture begin burglarizing stars' homes. With Emma Watson, Katie Chang, Taissa Farmiga and Israel Broussard. Written and directed by Sofia Coppola.

'Fruitvale Station'

A drama based on the true story of Oscar Grant, a 22-year-old unarmed black man who was killed by a transit policeman at a BART station in Oakland, Calif. With Michael B. Jordan, Octavia Spencer and Melonie Diaz. Written and directed by Ryan Coogler.

'Behind the Candelabra'

A drama chronicling the unconventional and contentious relationship between Liberace and his cocaine-addled, much-younger lover, Scott Thorson. With Michael Douglas and Matt Damon. Directed by Steven Soderbergh.
