2015:

The year in graphics

This was a year of many firsts for data visualization and graphics at the Los Angeles Times. We published our first virtual reality project, our first bilingual database and our first (of many) interactive bingo card. We began the year by taking a critical look at the lack of diversity of the year's Oscar nominees, and ended it covering the San Bernardino attack, the worst act of terror in the country since September 11, 2001. In a year filled with a wide range of ideas and stories, we decided to present our best online work guided by the core questions of journalism: Who, what, when, where and how.

Who?

What?

When?

Where?

How?
